of mind and safety. Kotobuki has developed playground equipment and street furniture with a
focus on safety and installed them in numerous open spaces. However, as with any product,
corrosion, deterioration, and peeling paint inevitably occur over time. Recognizing this as part
of our responsibility as a manufacturer, Kotobuki established “Kotobuki Townscape Service
Co., Ltd. (now KTS Co., Ltd.)” in 2009 — a company specializing in inspections and repairs —
to ensure our products can continue to be used safely and comfortably.

Currently, the mainstream policy is to effectively utilize existing parks built during the period
of rapid economic growth. Consequently, the demand for inspections and repairs of already
installed playground equipment and benches is on the rise. Following amendments to the
Urban Parks Act, it has become a legal requirement to conduct annual inspections by
qualified professionals.
KTS Co., Ltd. is a member of the Japan Park Facilities Association (JPFA). Our certified Park
Facility Product Safety Managers and Park Facility Product Maintenance Engineers conduct
inspections in accordance with the association’s strict inspection standards and numerous
checkpoints.
While parks often feature playground equipment and benches from multiple manufacturers,
we collaborate with other JPFA member companies to handle the inspection and repair of
products from other manufacturers as well.
At KTS Co., Ltd., we leverage our extensive experience and expertise to prioritize large-scale
inspection and repair plans and propose efficient implementation strategies. Additionally, for
older playground equipment that does not meet current safety standards, we propose
replacing it with new equipment to prevent accidents before they occur.

Moving forward, we will compile our accumulated data into a database to further streamline
management. Building on the technology and passion we have cultivated as a manufacturer,
we will continue to serve as a central hub for creating spaces that “everyone supports
